South sea pearl: South Sea pearls are the largest commercially harvested pearls in the world. Average size is 13mm, most have the sizes from 9mm to 20mm. A South Sea pearl is pearl produced by the Pinctada maxima mollusk. Generally, South Sea Pearls come from Australia, Indonesia and the Philippines.
