Brief summaries of the major chakras are given below:
The root chakra
Base of spine .It is the source of strength and is essential for proper development. It is known as the Kundalini chakra or base chakra. The other centres of energy rely upon the root chakra to perform properly. Disorders within the root chakras may result in mental problems, for example, aggression, confusion or physical symptoms as the excretory systems, intestines or bones.
The sexual (feeling center) chakra
Center of abdomen. It is also known as the sacral plexus chakra spleen chakra. This is highly influential and controls sensual and sexual factors, the means whereby experiences are felt and registered. Blockages result in a variety of dread or conditions such as a fear, a general understanding or an obsessive cleanliness. Physical exhibitions may include being prone to infections, or some problems with the kidneys, bladder or lymphatic system.
The personality chakra (Solar Plexus)
Above the navel. This chakra is represented by the yellow Manipura mandala and is also symbolized by birds. Blockages may result in attitudes such as emotional blackmail or selfish action. Physical manifestations could be disorders of the lungs and heart, and also the circulatory problems.
The expressive chakra (Throat Chakra)
Center of throat. This chakra is represented by the blue Vishuddha mandala (purity) the element of ether and is symbolized by the human race. The expressive chakra (or throat chakra) controls all self-expression, whether language or gesticulation. Otherwise known as the forehead chakra or the Third Eye, this is the focus of intuition, apperceive of truth which enables a person to find their own course through life. Therefore, a blockage of this chakra will culminate in an abrupt close to life, and probably a disability to settle down to any one task for any time.
The crown chakra
Crown of head. This chakra is known as the crown chakra and is situated on the top of the head or crown area. It is represented by the colours violet or white Sahasara mandala and is symbolized by sacred spirits. It is generally felt that the crown, chakra is appreciated only by experience and it depends upon the other six chakras for its development.
